Time to update your workplace policies

Attention Employers: Fair Work Act amendments – update your policies and WHS risk management frameworks

As you may be aware, the recent Fair Work Act amendments require employers to address and manage risks in several areas affecting their employees. These areas include:

  • Family and domestic violence leave (current, started on 1st February for employers with more than 15 employees).

  • Psychosocial hazards (current)

  • Sexual harassment in the workplace (changes start 7th March)

  • Flexible Work Arrangement requests (changes start 7th June)

Employers should be proactive and review their policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks to address these areas to ensure compliance with their Fair Work Act obligations.

If you need help with the new changes, CER can review or draft policies, procedures, and guidelines and ensure your risk management frameworks address sexual harassment and psychosocial hazards. Please get in touch with us online or via phone.
