Every child should have a ‘fair go’

Catholic Employment relations is proud to lend its support to and endorse the National Catholic Safeguarding Ltd (NCSL) standards. We believe that the safety of children in our communities is a priority and we pledge to implement these standards in our work. We are delighted to join other organisations as a supporter of this pledge.

We encourage everyone to demonstrate their prioritisation of child safety in their organisations - you can do this by signing up to the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards and displaying the NCSS Commitment Badge:

Ian Yard-Smith (CEO and Managing Director | Managing Principal Lawyer ) has acknowledged how the stress of the past two years have impacted on work and family relationships, and through that the wellbeing of many children.

By our work in supporting employers to support their employees navigate those pressures we hope to contribute to an environment of safety for children. The stress of finances, health, work or relationships can make it difficult for parents and carers to navigate life and provide the stability that is so important for children.
— Ian Yard-Smith

ACSL works with Catholic entities to promote and oversee a nationally consistent, comprehensive and sustainable framework for the protection of children and adults at risk within the Church in Australia.
