Changes to the Educational Services (Teachers) Award 2020
Changes to the Educational Services (Teachers) Award 2020 have come into effect on the first full pay period on or after 1 January 2022.
These changes include:
Reduced classifications from 12 levels to 5 levels and re-classification of existing employees
Updated classification definitions and progression through classification levels
Increases to rates of pay, updated allowances for directors and educational leader allowance and the introduction of an educational leader allowance in the children’s services and early childhood education industry
Changes to non-contact time in the award for educational leaders and employees involved in the preparation, implementation and or evaluation of a developmental program for children.
